Osman Tanaçan graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Statistics, and obtained a Master's degree in Marketing Communications from Istanbul Bilgi University.

He started his professional career in 1991 as a Systems Analyst Programmer at Koç Holding and has worked in information technologies and payment systems departments in the banking sector since 1996. His roles included Specialist at Esbank IT Department, Assistant Manager at the Credit Cards Department, Manager at Pamukbank Retail Banking, Assistant General Manager at Bileşim A.Ş., and Head of Department at Akbank Payment Systems. From 2007 to 2015, Mr. Tanaçan served on the Board of Directors of BKM (Interbank Card Center), including a term as Chairman of the Board between 2010 and 2011. During this period, he also chaired the Operations and Technology Committee and the Market Development Committee. In January 2012, he was appointed Group President of Payment Systems and Technology Operations at Ziraat Bank and concurrently served as General Manager and Board Member of Bileşim. From 2015 to 2022, Mr. Tanaçan held the position of General Manager and Board Member of Ziraat Teknoloji.
