Ahmet Zafer Seyar graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Econometrics. He earned his master’s degree from Marmara University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of International Economics. He began his professional career in 1997 in the capital markets..

In 1999, Mr. Seyar joined ING Bank, where he held various positions in corporate banking. From 2001 to 2006, he served as Sales and Field Management Manager in the Corporate Banking team at the Head Office. Between 2006 and 2010, he continued as Sales and Field Management Manager. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as Corporate Branch Manager at ING Turkey’s Kozyatağı Corporate Center. In 2012, Mr. Seyar joined Odeabank as Corporate Banking Director, actively contributing to the bank’s establishment phase. He most recently served as Director responsible for all product groups under Commercial Banking, including Foreign Trade and Cash Management.

Mr. Seyar joined Türk Ticaret Bankası in April 2024 as Executive Vice President in Commercial and Corporate Banking and was appointed as Executive Vice President in Commercial, Corporate and Retail Banking in April 2025.
