Türk Ticaret Bankası Samsun Branch Opened for Business

Having resumed operations with the aim of becoming the primary bank for exporters, Türk Ticaret Bankası continues to expand its service network. Having opened a branch in Samsun, one of Türkiye’s key production and export hubs, Türk Ticaret Bankası aims to provide a total of 110 billion TL in financial support to exporting firms this year.

The Samsun Branch of Türk Ticaret Bankası, which has resumed operations with the aim of playing an active role in Türkiye’s export-led growth, has opened its doors. The opening ceremony was attended by Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, Samsun MP and Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Planning and Budget Committee Mehmet Muş, AK Party Samsun MP Ersan Aksu, Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar, Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Halit Doğan, President of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türk Ticaret Bankası, Mustafa Gültepe, and Board Member and General Manager of Türk Ticaret Bankasıİlker Yeşil, as well as numerous exporters operating in the region.

Muş:“Our Samsun is set to enter a new era in exports with the Türk Ticaret Bankası” Expressing great satisfaction and excitement at the opening of the Samsun Branch of the Türk Ticaret Bankası, which holds the title of Türkiye’s first privately owned bank with national capital, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Planning and Budget Committee Mehmet Muş said: “Its central location, structure suited to agriculture and industry, and its port with its developed transport and logistics infrastructure make our Samsun extremely attractive for investment. Ağar continued: “Samsun is positioned as one of the key trade and logistics hubs of the Black Sea Region. We believe that the Türk Ticaret Bankası will make significant contributions to developing our city’s export potential, facilitating access to finance for our companies, and sustainably increasing the volume of foreign trade. Mustafa Gültepe: “Access to affordable finance for our exporters is of great importance” Mustafa Gültepe, President of TİM and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Turkish Trade Bank, also stated that healthy and sustainable growth in the economy can only be achieved through production and exports. Gültepe, noting that they are working with the vision and goal of bringing Türkiye into the top 10 exporting nations, said: “In pursuit of this ambitious goal, we have mobilised all our resources to connect our companies with new markets. İlker Yeşil: “We are locating our branches in the centres where production and exports are most concentrated”İlker Yeşil, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Türk Ticaret Bankası, recalled that they commenced active banking operations in the final quarter of 2024 with the aim of becoming the primary bank for exporters. Stating that they have structured all their business models around this objective, Yeşil continued:
“We position our bank not merely as a financial institution, but as the exporter’s partner and solution provider. We are opening our branches in the centres where production and exports are most concentrated. In 2025, we provided exporters with 76.3 billion TL in financial support. We aim to provide exporters with 110 billion TL in financial support in 2026. Within this framework, we continue to make our new branches available to companies in centres where exports are concentrated. “We held our first branch opening of 2026 in Trabzon. We are now holding the opening of our second branch in the Black Sea region, specifically in Samsun, the region’s production and export hub. I hope this branch, which also plans to provide financial support to firms in neighbouring provinces, brings prosperity and success to our exporters.”

The ceremony was attended by Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Samsun Commodity Exchange Sinan Çakır, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Black Sea Grain and Pulses, Oilseeds and Processed Products Exporters’ Association Chairman Eren Günhan Ulusoy, and Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Earthenware Products Association Chairman Erdem Çenesiz, as well as a large number of exporters.
