Türk Ticaret Bankası Gaziantep Branch Officially Opened

Türk Ticaret Bankası, which has resumed operations with the vision of becoming the main bank of exporters, continues to expand its service network. The Bank aims to cover 85 percent of the country’s exports by the end of the year through new branch openings.

The Gaziantep Branch of Türk Ticaret Bankası, relaunched to play an active role in Türkiye’s export-orientedgrowth, has now been opened for service. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of TradeÖzgür Volkan Ağar, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Deputy Governor Mehmet Bek,Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türk Ticaret Bankası Prof. Dr. Yusuf Balcı, Board Member and GeneralManager İlker Yeşil, Ahmet Fikret Kileci, Coordinator President of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’Associations (GAİB), as well as many exporters operating in the region.

Volkan Ağar: “I wish the Gaziantep Branch of Türk Ticaret Bankası to be beneficial for our province.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar highlighted that theMinistry has mobilized all resources to transform Gaziantep’s production capacity into greater exportpotential. He stated: “Today, together with the business community of Gaziantep, we are realizing an importantconcrete step. We are delighted to bring our bank to Gaziantep with the right initiative, in the heart of ourexporter associations. I wish that the Gaziantep Branch of Türk Ticaret Bankası will be beneficial for ourprovince and our export family."

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Balcı: “We will continue to be the solution partner of our companies.”

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Balcı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türk Ticaret Bankası, emphasized thatthe Bank, founded in 1913 as the first national private-capital bank, has historically played a pioneering role inthe development of the Turkish economy. He continued: “In this new phase of our journey, as the secondaddress of exporters, we are focused on strengthening Türkiye’s export potential, facilitating exporters’ accessto finance, and producing solutions that will enhance their competitiveness. Gaziantep, with its export-drivenproduction capacity, strong structure in organized industrial zones, strategic advantage in border trade,and entrepreneurial people, is a major trade hub not only for Southeastern Anatolia but for Türkiye as awhole... Therefore, opening one of our first branches here as Türk Ticaret Bankası carries greatimportance not only for our Bank but also for the national economy.”

lker Yeşil: “We aim to provide TRY 75 billion in financing support to 1,000 companies in 2025.”

İlker Yeşil, Board Member and General Manager of Türk Ticaret Bankası, emphasized that Gaziantep is one ofTürkiye’s most important production and export hubs. Noting that Gaziantep ranks sixth among the provinceswith the highest export volume, Yeşil said: “As Türk Ticaret Bankası, our goal is not only to be a bank thatprovides financing support, but also to act as a business partner standing alongside exporters on their growthjourney. We offer both physical—i.e., traditional—and digital banking services. By implementing this “Phygital”2banking model, we plan to cover 85 percent of the country’s export footprint with the 15 branches we will openby the end of 2025. By year-end, our target is to increase the number of exporters we support with financing to1,000, and to raise the total financing we provide to TRY 75 billion.

Fikret Kileci: “Türk Ticaret Bankası will enhance the competitiveness of our exporters”

GAİB Coordinator President Ahmet Fikret Kileci expressed his great satisfaction at hosting the GaziantepBranch of the Türk Ticaret Bankası. Stressing that fast and affordable access to financing is among the mostcritical needs of exporters, Kileci said: “The launch of the Türk Ticaret Bankası in our region will strengthen thecompetitiveness of our exporters in global markets and contribute significantly to their growth. This is notmerely the opening of a bank branch; it is a strategic step that will reinforce our regional economy across abroad spectrum, from production to exports, from employment to overall development. With this vision, theTürk Ticaret Bankası Gaziantep Branch, starting operations in our union building, will bring substantial addedvalue to our export family.”
