Fatih Tuğrul Topaç graduated from Marmara University's Economics Department (English Program) in 2005 and began his career the same year as an Internal Auditor in the Internal Control Department of Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank.
Between 2006 and 2011, Topaç served as a Bank Auditor at Akbank and HSBC. During this period, he played an active role in branch and head office audits, as well as process audits and off-site audit activities, gaining extensive experience in banking operations, internal control and risk management.
From 2011 to 2017, he served as a Senior Banking Analyst and Strategy Specialist at Ata Yatırım, Yapı Kredi Bank and TEB Yatırım. During this period, he specialized in bank balance sheet analysis, sector-specific financial modelling, and in-depth financial analysis of the banking industry. He also produced analytical and strategic content for leading institutional investors and asset management companies and played an active role in roadshows and investor conferences held in major international financial centres, including New York, London and Frankfurt.
Between 2017 and 2022, Topaç served as Strategy Manager at Türkiye Finans Participation Bank, where he led the bank's medium- and long-term strategic planning processes. In addition to overseeing strategic analysis, corporate transformation and information technology projects, he managed the units responsible for providing strategic advisory services to senior management. During this period, he led numerous strategic projects in areas including balance sheet management, macro-financial planning, product and business development, customer acquisition and retention, customer experience, and corporate communications.
Topaç joined İhracatı Geliştirme A.Ş. (İGE) in November 2022 as Executive Vice President responsible for Finance, Business Development and Human Resources. He has served as General Manager of İGE since June 2024 and, as of August 2026, also serves as a Board Member of Türk Ticaret Bankası.
