Traffic

Traffic Insurance is a compulsory insurance type for every vehicle operating on public roads, as required by Highway Traffic Law No. 2918. It only covers damages caused to third parties; in other words, it does not cover damages to your own vehicle. To protect your own vehicle, you should also take out Motor Insurance.

Damages caused to other vehicles or third parties as a result of accidents occurring on public roads are covered within the limits specified in the policy.

Traffic Insurance also covers injuries and deaths resulting from traffic accidents.

Material Indemnity

This is provided on a Per Vehicle and Per Accident basis. If damage is caused to another vehicle, third-party property, or public assets during an accident, the resulting costs are covered within the limits stated in the policy.

Medical Expenses

This is provided on a Per Vehicle and Per Accident basis. This coverage includes the cost of medical treatment if the other party sustains bodily injury in an accident, including medical expenses and losses arising from reduced earning capacity.

Disability and Death

Per Person and Per Accident: If the other party or a third party is injured or dies in a traffic accident, indemnity is paid to the affected party.

Compulsory Traffic Insurance covers the financial damages you may cause to the other party in the event of an accident. Motor Insurance, on the other hand, provides coverage for damages to your own motor vehicle. The key difference between the two is that Compulsory Traffic Insurance is mandatory, while Motor Insurance is optional.
